Ginco General Contracting is straight up, honest and committed to being good corporate citizens. Since Ginco’s CSR commitments are built on eight critical pillars:

We take our responsibility to protect, support and prepare our workers seriously. We focus on providing opportunities and resources to our workforce, and leading by example in areas such as: workplace safety, health and wellness, diversity and inclusion, training and development. We believe in creating opportunity for all employees and are committed to equal employment opportunity, the protection of human rights, and the prevention of human trafficking.

ETHICS

Ginco General Contracting is committed to conducting ourselves in a legal, ethical and trustworthy manner. This means upholding our regulatory obligations, and complying with both the letter and spirit of our business policies.

ENGAGEMENT

We value teamwork and work in partnership with other organizations to have a positive impact on the communities where we live and work. We also seek to engage with suppliers who adhere to socially responsible business practices.

ENVIRONMENT

Ginco General Contracting recognizes a shared responsibility to protect our environment. Although our facilities and operations have a small ecological footprint, we continuously strive to reduce the environmental impact of our business through our approach to sustainability and preservation, conservation, and waste reduction practices.Underlying our CSR program is a set of core policies that outline our approach and guide our activities. Ginco’s culture of honesty and accountability helps us to prevent dishonest or unethical conduct. This policy outlines the responsibilities of our employees, including ensuring that our suppliers are aware of their obligation to conduct themselves in a legal and ethical way. We treat all employees with dignity and respect and follow all applicable laws and legislation related to labour and human rights. The following are examples of initiatives we have in

ANTI-BULLYING POLICY

Ginco Contracting does not tolerate bullying of, or by, its employees. We are committed to maintaining a work environment that is free from bullying and in accordance with the UAE Human Rights law. We are individually and collectively accountable for upholding our CSR commitments. We encourage participation across our organisation, and we will work with external stakeholders to continually support our workforce, improve our workplaces, contribute to the communities we serve, and ensure our actions are socially, ethically, and environmentally responsible.

FORCED LABOUR

Ginco does not tolerate any practices related to Child Labor and Forced Labor, which are in violation of UAE laws, and recognizes regional and cultural differences. Our policy also includes an explicit ban on the use of any forced labor or exploitative working conditions.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Ginco General Contracting recognize that human trafficking remains a hidden blight on our global society. The aim of the company is to identify responsibility by alerting staff to the risks, however small, in our business and in the wider supply chain. Staff are expected and encouraged to report concerns to management, where they are expected to act upon them. We are committed to ensuring that there is no human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-slavery Policy Statement reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chain. The implementation and operation of this management system underlines our commitment to this policy statement. Formal procedures concerning slavery and human trafficking have been established, including disciplinary procedures where they are breached. Additional procedures ensure that this policy is understood and communicated to all levels of the company, and that it is regularly reviewed to ensure its continuing suitability and relevance to the company activities. The company will achieve these aims by our initiative to identify and mitigate risk in the following ways (but not limited to):

  • More stringent vetting and investigation of our supply chain (contractors, sub-contractors, policies, contracts etc.)
  • Continually audit & review our practices for checking all employees are paid at least the contracted fair wage and have the right to work.
  • We encourage the reporting of concerns and the protection of whistle blowers.
  • The company will not knowingly support or deal with any business involved in slavery or human trafficking.
  • We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. We expect all those in our supply chain and contractors to comply with our values.
